"U.S. District Judge Barbara Lynn ruled against the temporary restraining order, saying Southwest Airlines is fulfilling its obligation under the collective bargaining agreement to provide a safe work environment.

 

The vaccine requirement will “likewise improve the safety of air transportation, the efficiency of Southwest’s operations, and further the [collective bargaining agreement] goal of safe and reasonable working conditions for pilots,” the judge wrote in her ruling, according to the local outlet."

 

I'm assuming the judge is also a qualified medical and/or workplace safety professional or heard the testimony of such a professional when making a ruling based on the presumption that a vaccine mandate will create a "safe working environment"? Or are they allowing their unqualified opinion to get in the way of making a sound ruling based solely on the law and facts presented to them?

That judges ruling is a bigger stretch than Rosie O'Donnells yoga pants.

Actually, they are, but they used a different form of coercion before SWA did.  They told their employees to get the jab or face higher insurance premiums.  $200 more per month, plus weekly testing.  They hit their employees in their pockets, where it hurt.

 

Also, SWA management said they weren't going to fire anyone for not playing along.
