"The incredible cruelty and folly of forced vaccines finally came home to roost. The vaccine mandate backlash has been bubbling just under the surface, but now it has spilled out into the open, threatening to completely derail an already crumbling economy and to obliterate a deeply unpopular US President and Administration.

Seemingly out of nowhere what appears to be a Southwest Airlines rebellion has taken flight this weekend. According to media reports, scores of pilots and other Southwest employees have coordinated the taking of “sick days” to use them up in advance of a Southwest Airlines mandate to get the jab or lose the job.

Over Saturday and Sunday more than 2,000 flights have been cancelled, with airports experiencing full-on mayhem.

The Southwest Airlines Pilots Association is suing the airline over the imposed vaccine mandate, bolstering the claim that there is a “sick out” underway among angry Southwest pilots.""

I saw that but oddly enough they seem to be hiding the real problem in the media. You know where I stand on the vaccine, but not sure forcing the vaccine is the right way to go. Other than the military.

If the vaccinated can still pass it on. It kind of makes it a moot point

Would have to go back to find the piece, but apparently the Southwest Pilots' Union can't come right out and admit that this is indeed a coordinated sick-out, because then it would be an illegal job action.

Yes, the actual issue is being suppressed by the media.  Is anyone surprised?

You're almost there, and I for one am happy to see it.  And no, the military should NOT be forced to take an experimental drug.  NO HUMAN should!!

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has made another move against nonsensical COVID policies.  Today, he signed an executive order banning vaccine mandates by any entity in the state.  [...]

It may be too early for the vaccine mandate to impact anything.  Given the Biden Administrations directive for folks to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8th, two weeks before that is Nov. 24th, the day before Thanksgiving, it could be chaos.  For those that say the Covid vaccine mandates are the same as those for MMR, etc., I don’t think it is the same thing since with the Covid vaccine one can still get and pass on the virus.

Anyway, the current Southwest chaos seems to be more related to company mismanagement.

Guess the CEO of Southwest made a statement today that he doesn't support Biden's mandate but is just trying to be in compliance with it.

Well why not ignore it and let SCOTUS sort it out

That's what I was thinking. As of right now Biden hasn't issued anything more than a press release regarding the mandate while the governor of Texas issued an executive order barring mandates. Seems to me the best legal position would be abiding by an executive order versus a scary press release.

Seems like it's an overreach by Biden Sure he can order the military or possiblyfederalemployees. .  I also think a company "may" be able to mandate it. But for him to mandate...uh no.

I haven't read the Redstate.com article above since I posted it, but if the Federal aspect is why Southwest made the companywide order, then the EO would seem to give them an out.

EO 14043 refers to federal contractors.  SWA is on the hook for CRAF flights for the US government (as is Delta, American, JetBlue, Spirit, et. al.).  And THAT is how the tyranny is attempting to be spread among large companies, in the hopes that hundreds of thousands of people cave and get vaxxed before the lawyers blow a barn-sized hole in the EOs (14042 & 14043).  It is the type of end-run around proper lawmaking that makes the Obama decree on DACA look like child's play, but it is what it is.
