Confused. I765 Approved, I130 & I485 Still Pending

Hi All,

My wife has already taken the biometrics, and over this past weekend, we've recieved the Approval for I-765 with the Employment Authorization Card. Basically, It seems as though only the 765 was processed, but the others (130 and 485) are still pending and have not been touched since May 05, 2007. We all received receipt notices at the same time back in April.

Also, all 3 are still at MSC. I thought the 485 and 130 have to be processed elsewhere. Can anyone recommend what I should do? I've seen other users timelines here that were filed around the same time and most if not all have their interview notice recieved. I don't have anything but the employment authorization card. If it helps understand the situation, my wife was admitted to the US over 10 years ago through a G visa as a Dependant. (Her mother works for UN)

She's already had an employmend authroization card since last year, but it has expired until we got this new one this past weekend.

Thanks all

Everything about your case sounds perfectly normal. EADs take around 90 days for approval, and are often approved before the Green Card (if they weren't there would be no point in getting an EAD).

What you need to do now is wait. Congrats on the EAD approval.

I should add that the time it takes to get an interview letter depends strongly on the load of your local office. You don't say where that would be.

BTW - if you're going to have an interview, its normal for the USCIS website to show that all the applications are at the NBC.

I believe my local office is Newark, NJ. The timetable says it's processing i-485s with receipt dates of 10/11/06

Looks like they're really behind. The 765 dates are March 29, so I see how this makes sense now. Thanks for helping me understand a bit more. I appreciate it.
