Thanks everyone for all the kind words. I'm so happy everything went well for us. Though now he is still waiting for the visa due to a slow machine. Who knows?!

I just read your post about the embassy is asking that you return on the 22nd to pick up the Visa. Were you able to speak with someone about this? We have our appointment on the 23rd, and he has a plane ticket for August 1st. The good news is that his ticket is changeable without a fee, the bad news is that are wedding is scheduled for August 10th. So, if that machine (if that is really the problem) is not fixed by the time he has his appointment, then I might be in some trouble. Do you think we should be calling our congressperson to have them check on the Visa machine? Or do you think we should be calling the Embassy ourselves? I am now starting to worry. I do hope that I am able to read that your fiance has his visa in hand...and soon. Please keep us posted. Thanks! Angela

To tell you the truth, I didn't think of calling the embassy. I was praying he will get it this Friday. I don't know if I mentioned this in the other post, about the other people in line the same day he went to get it, said they have been there 2 times and still nothing. Well, lets see what happens this Friday, I definately will let you know. I have doubts that the machine is slow, they do have a lot of lottery winners this time of year, maybe there is too many people to print them for and they are taking their time. I would say try not to worry, but then again you have plans right around the corner. I'm going to claim that he'll get it this friday, lets see.

This may not be so important, but thought it may help someone. My fiance was given a lot of papers in package 3 and 4, a couple papers said that he needed passport pictures on the day of his interview. One paper said to bring 2 and another said to bring 3. The place he had them taken at, he asked them how many for a K-1 visa. The man said 2 and seemed to be quite confident. The day of the interview he gave the passport pics with the rest of the documents and was asked where is the 3rd photo? He explained to them about the paper work he was given, one said 2 and the other 3. So the man said ok. He didn't make him get another and didn't say any more about it. Though, I would recommend 3, to save any problems.

Woot!!! Congratulations!!!

Quick question...what documents did the embassy require for the I-134?

The only documents they wanted along with the I-134, was the tax returns!! I provided 04, 05 & 06. We brought to the embassy my paystubs, letter from employer and bank statements. They said all we need is tax returns. Same thing for my co-sponsor, they just wanted the I-134 and tax returns. My stepdad was the co-sponsor and he only gave me tax returns for 05 & 06. They didn't seem to mind about only giving 2 years. They also did not want his letter from employer or bank statements. Hope this helps

I guess it is better to be fully prepared.

Thanks for the info.
