This reminds me of an episode way back when of How I Met Your Mother, where the married couple get stuck in the same bathroom together and... well they got to go, and they don't want to do it in front of each other.

 

Growing up poor with a ton of people crammed into one house, sometimes you ended up having to use the toilet while someone was showering. Just the way it was. Can't hold it forever. Can't imagine actively going while sitting next to your partner though... rich people problems huh?

We had two bathrooms in our house, and my sister managed to get the en suite one, not my parents. Even at 7 she had them wrapped around her finger. I was never allowed in her bathroom under penalty of death, so I am familiar with peeing while my mom was using the shower, or vice versa. We drew the line at number 2 though out of pure courtesy. 

 

I see my bathroom time as my alone time now, as I am highly unlikely to have my husband stomp in there asking where he's left his keys or why we're out of half and half (hint: you drank it all) as he will when I'm in the living room, trying to concentrate on writing. Even a closed bedroom door doesn't have the same forbidding air as that of a bathroom!

What happens if there was a bad emergency usage that caused a stink in there? You'd probably want a few moments of cold water rather than the stench right?

There's rarely any alone time for me in a bathroom. This dog follows me everywhere, including the bathroom... and now it has bonded with my husband so much over the pandemic, he also gets to experience it. You may say, why don't you just shut the door? Well, wailing to a fever pitch ensues before it reaches panicked screaming noises. To be fair this stuff started around the time I was doing a colonoscopy prep and blacked out in the bathroom (a known side effect). Well my little ''Life Alert" was going to scream and claw at the door and try and alert the male human that momma needed help. Now he thinks I must be watched at all times.

You get a jug with powder in it. The label says mix with water. I was saying she got as far as mix with and grabbed the Vodka. 

Drinking that gallon of god awful is the worst part.

 

The procedure is easy. The pump you full off the good stuff.

Keep a book of matches atop the toilet tank.  Strike two at once.  Stink gone, or diminished.

Or, arrest the offender for crimes against The Climate (overproduction of greenhouse gases).
