864 and New Child

I have a 221g (public charge) for a CR-1. The verbiage suggests I simply send in a financial update directly to the embassy when I feel I can overcome it.

I now feel I am ready to send in enhanced financial capacity documents to overcome the 221g. Case should still be active, based on my updating them yearly,  but is still 4+ years old.

Do I need to complete a new I-864, etc, or just send the documents showing I overcame the thresholds even including a new child? Yes, I also have a new child since the original petition. I updated that on CEAC portal just now.

* New here, I’m sure that will be clear by my remedial post.

* I am a little overwhelmed- my apology in advance.j

* Thank you very much for your time.

I'd assume the embassy was not expecting 4+years when they mentioned such verbiage. I'd say upload new i864 with required evidences in ceac and mail the embassy as well. You'd also require a new medical which the embassy would ask you to complete later on. You may be asked to appear for interview as well.

what is the status on your case in CEAC site?

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-130a.pdf

put it immigrant

Thanks for the reply.

I updated the Ds-260 online with no issues this month. On the advice of @arken I will submit a fresh I-864.

Now it seems your post is telling me to fill out the 130 which looks remarkably like the other documents? So I just printed the 130 form from the above link.Thank you @Jeanne Adil.

If you are also asking about the status I think you are, I religiously updated every year but the 2020 update was literally impossible as embassy was effectively shut down.

I contacted them during the pandemic and they said they would note I had not properly updated because they were not accepting updates. They said to update as soon as I could they would note I contacted them (within the one year window.)

When they opened I sent my update by courier that I was preparing financials. The provided me with a latest contact of March 2021. Status: Refused. I read a big thread on “refused” so thats another subject.

Hope I was not all over the place with this reply.
