If your wife has received other vaccines and is just picky about this one I believe obtaining the waiver is a little more difficult.  But, you can always pay the $900 fee and hope they drop the requirement before the waiver is approved/ not approved. 

 

By then “fully vaxed” might be 5 jabs 6 months apart.  It could potentially take years to catch up

Oh! I hope fully vaxxed doesn't mean that... 

I'm living in that dream world where I assume everyone gets vaccinated, then the US just requires proof of vaccination in the last year.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
