Yeah they are processing limited number of cases. Aug and Sep numbers were pretty horrible lol. 5 and 7 K1 issued respectively. I'm hearing December they will fully open but who knows.... COVID was never a big thing there but  just no embassy employees to handle the workload during COVID. We are hoping for a Jan or Feb interview.

Not yet!  When I checked after I called, it still said at NVC.  This is shipping week, right?  If so, then I think it will be there in December.
Yeah it wont post but today was the last day of this week.  I will see if it changes on the 23rd or 24th!

I actually dissected my case #.  I do not know when they grab cases to assign, but for Kyiv, this was definitely one of the first assigned for the day.  It was actually assigned on the 9th, so there is a slight chance it might be in transit but the NVC site is not reflecting it.  Very slight.  I am going to update my timeline on here to reflect the assign date because I put the 10th due to thinking it was assigned Wednesday.  So realistically (and i told Anna this with our conversation a few minutes ago) I see the case leaving at the soonest the 23rd/24th.  Which would be good because it bypasses any holiday shipping (which shouldnt be affected by the time it arrives) and then arrival to the embassy would be the first week of December.  This is all wishful thinking but just thinking out loud.  It looks like January will be more realistic for her arrival (which is great because it will still be "warm" here compared to Kyiv).   Hang in there, everyone!

Want to talk about wishful thinking?  I managed to get an MOS number and schedule an interview with Warsaw all within about 3 days of NVC receiving the petition. The interview date is December 13. Just Monday Warsaw officially accepted the transfer. Still don’t have a WRW number yet. My fiancé is on a plane as I type this to get her Medical in Moscow tomorrow.

As soon as we receive our WRW number, she’ll apply for a Schengen Visa. Hopefully that will all transpire in time for the consulate to be ready on that date, otherwise it will be early next year. We both want her hear by Christmas, but we realize it could just be wishful thinking, but there’s certainly no harm in trying!!

This is definitely true!  You do not stand a chance to hit the target if you do not take a shot in the first place.  And the nice thing is, if she is getting her medical in Moscow currently and the WSW number is assigned to you, then you are all set anyways when that time comes.  Oh yeah, that's right.  The visa is depending on when the WSW case number is assigned.  The good news is that will be the only thing you all are waiting for with these steps.  Keep us updated!!!

There has to be a contingency for beneficiaries from countries where the "approved" vaccinations are not available, Russia being a prime example.  My immigration lawyer mentioned something about there being a form to fill out saying that within a certain number of days they will be vaccinated here after arrival.  I don't know the details yet.

There pretty much no form. Airline just strictly pointed at approved vaccines list and visa being non immigration and dried boarding. US government has to just give clear details about it. Otherwise Russians have to waste their time and money and nerves to just get an approved vaccine somewhere. That’s doesn’t make any sense to me honestly

I realize that this may be too late, but I’ve heard that the J&J can be had in Warsaw. I don’t know if it’s available at the embassy or somewhere in town, but that might be a possibility, at least for the Russian beneficiaries.  I’m sure I’ll learn more as it gets closer to my fiancé’s interview date.

To make it even more interesting, a fellow VJ member marries other VJ couples for FREE (in Las Vegas). The benefit is she does everything, including documentation, in a day!  I’ve already reached out to her. I’m thinking a pre Christmas wedding in Vegas may be in our future. Or maybe a pre New Year.

Don’t want to make any negativity here but it most likely not be possible. Next shipment when your case will be most likely be sent to

Warsaw is November 23rd. Add some time for it to arrive to Poland and imbra process. Oh now I see that u already set up an interview date. Dec 13th can be just about the earliest time for you. If she manages to get a shot somewhere there that week she will still need to wait 2 weeks for vaccination to be valid and it’s gonna be near the New Years she can be in the US.

We are ourselves really wanted to spend Christmas together but they put so many unnecessary obstacles

Update:  Got my WRW number last Friday.  My fiancee flew to Moscow last Thursday to do her medical.  She flew home Saturday with results in hand.  I realize that our petition may not ship out until November 23, but I read somewhere today that the electronic version of the application can arrive significantly sooner than the hard copy, and that as long as the hard copy arrives to the consulate before the interview, that they can effectively perform the interim steps, like the IMBRA check.  When I check the WRW number on CEAC it shows as "at NVC", but I'm going to start calling Warsaw embassy this week to see if there's a chance that the electronic version can or will be sent before November 23.  I'm skeptical that if we have to wait until they get the hard copy, AND do necessary checks, that we'll be able to keep the original interview date (Dec 13).  Still I'm always hopeful.  Stay tuned....
