Welcome and Congratulations on your approval!

This thread was created for those who are waiting for their NOA2  K-1 case assignment from NVC and then tracking your case onwards to your Embassy.

A few helpful NVC links:

 NVC phone number is  (603)334-0888

Best time to call is first thing in the morning or late in the evening to avoid extended wait times.

If you need an address change or need to update your info in anyway NVC has a public inquiry form where you can submit your request:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

Inside the attached PDF below are a few tips, tricks and hacks to help you along the way.

These are items that everyone asks for, so they have been put together by Greenbaum for you to refer to when necessary. If you are new to this thread please read as these are most asked questions multiple times.

Was looking for this thread. I’m joining. Our noa2 is October 7th. I really need to get number from nvc asap since I need to transfer our case to Poland

All settled in and put in the inquiry for the email addresses to be updated.  Not sure if it will work in time but it is definitely worth a shot!  I saw on NVC's site that it shows about a month to respond to inquiries and a few days to assign a case #.  I will call NVC in a couple weeks to get the Kyiv case #.

They said that if we dont hear nothing in 30 days then we should contact them. I check other timelines and some are just a few days since NOA2 to have the case number and others almost 28 days so i guess 30 days is the limit.

Sweet!  That is hopeful for at least receiving it a week after it is sent.  Your sending time would have been last week so that is awesome!

Earlier this morning I send a request to US Embassy in Poland to transfer my case. After that I called and they told me they will forward my request directly to IV Unit. They accepted our request two hours after. I still need to wait for my nvc case number to change from MOSxxx to WRWxxx but I’m so glad almost this whole NVC stage took us just 2 weeks

Hi! We were approved Oct6th, our case was forwarded to NVC on Oct12/13th,  and then yesterday we received a notification that our case is getting forwarded to Tokyo, the status was 'In Transit', and then upon checking a few hours later it updated to 'Ready'. NVC phase has been quick and painless! Hope everyone is receiving good news regarding your cases as well!

Was this before or after completing DS-160?

I can't remember if you have to complete that form before they forward your case?

We have not started filling out the DS-160 yet, we are going to start doing it soon though, same with some other requirements. But we're also going to wait for actual notification from the embassy before booking appointments just to be sure. :) I used the DHL hack and our physical case file is scheduled to arrive at the embassy on Nov 1st so maybe it is just the electronic version that is 'Ready' though..
