A couple days is common but not always it seems. I have see others take so long. Ours has been at NVC for 5 weeks now. I get the same answer when I ask the operator, "administrative processing". Being what NVC's job is I can only assume that is records checks for you and your significant other. I'm clean as a whistle and the worst thing I've ever been involved with the law is doing 127 mph in a 55. Hehe. Well maybe my name matches some bad guy and they have to break out paper records to verify. Who knows, but I wish this wasn't such a mystery. I think if you petition you have the right to know exactly what's going on with your case.

Hope this finishes quickly for you!

Is Administrative Processing same as as Administrative Review?

Diana,

I think, Mary knows a lot about AP Vs AR. I know what it means in Embassy. AP is given when they need additional documents, need to perform the security check for clearance. AR is given when they are doubtful about a marriage, relationship.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
