Hello, my fiance and I have recently been approved our K1 visa. The expiry date on the visa is in 11weeks time? We didn't realize that the visa could expiry within in 6 months. We want to confirm that the expiry date means the final date that I have to entry the US by correct?

Expiration date should be 6 months from the medical examination.

Yes that what we thought too but on my passport the issue date is SEP2021 and expiration date is DEC2021, this would hardly be a mistake on their part? Also should we stick to what it says in passport or assume 6 months anyways

Then the date is correct. You must enter the US before it expires.

Yes we did not know this. Just to confirm this date is only to have entered by? And once I enter we have 90 days to get married

You MUST enter by the expiration date printed on the visa....period.  Failure to do so will result in the need to request a re-issue (at the complete discretion of the consulate). That would mean another medical exam, additional fees, and possibly another interview.  In other words, enter the US before the visa expires.  Good luck.
