And an upvote for you as I reach for Platinum Status!!! :D

Just found out again that I do not have COVID, which is a great relief as someone in my office does. Our AOS interview is in under 36 hours so we needed to be COVID free!

Good luck with the interview! Bonne Chance!

Btw, this is not a study by DOD. It's a study by some AI data company that was funded by DOD.

Excuse me. It was commissioned by DOD. Semantics. Still more credible than a reddit post. The DOD data does seem to match data coming out of most other countries that I have seen people make excuses for.

Yes, the DoD outsources lots of information gathering.  Doesn't mean the data is any less accurate nor beneficial.

Here's another one that was contracted out and helps explain numbers:

Quote

A Department of Defense (DoD) program called “Project Salus” analyzed data on 5.6 million Medicare beneficiaries aged 65 or older and found that most COVID-19 hospitalizations are among fully vaccinated patients, with numbers increasing as the weeks pass. In cooperation with the Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC), the study was presented by DoD partner Humetrix. Alarmingly, the data backs up what experts have predicted for months—that mass vaccination against COVID-19 will result in the mutation and strengthening of SARS-CoV-1, a phenomenon called Antibody-Dependent Enhancement (ADE), thus driving up the rate of infection and spread of the virus.

Project Salus data suggests that the majority of COVID-19 infections in study cohorts occur among those fully vaccinated, with outcomes worsening over time. Additionally, based on this analysis, individuals who have contracted and recovered from COVID-19 boast natural immunity, which offers the strongest protection against breakthrough infection.

(Note the sample size, as opposed to an allegedly touted AMA poll discussed here a while pack with like 300 participants.  Pretty significant.)

My research is 50-70% funded by DOD. I will not say that it's DOD research :) DOD just gives me money, and cannot be responsible if I screw up!

The reddit post (that you feel is not credible) simply summarized what is displayed in the ppt by Humetrix - the statement literally are taken from the ppt.

Science is not a liberal conspiracy.

I understand.  Also, other than the 12%, I wasn't saying anything. bad about reddit.  It can oftentimes be an accurate source of info.

Not commenting on the accuracy of information on reddit per se. However I trust DOD (or DOD commissioned) data more than a post on reddit.

Exactly. I don't like to make a fuss when people don't follow links I provide, even though I get accused of it myself. I guess the only argument that could be made is that the points in bold weren't in the PPT?

I don't know, I guess I think you can't have it both ways. Either the Humetrix data in the PPT are correct, or they aren't, since the Reddit post is based completely on the PPT.

ALL data is good data, as long as it's not FALSE data.  That's the tough part these days.

Also, hope the interview goes well.  Best of luck to you both!

Violating Platinum protocol!  Reported!!!

The only modern-day entry to P-status comes from the lavish awarding of Upvotes to the Proper Parties.

Sadly from one viewpoint, LL is such a sweet poster that she'll never qualify for Platinum.
