Should I withdraw an old visa application after filling an I-130 petition?

Hello everyone. I applied for a student visa in the US while on a visitor visa. I did not receive any update about the case for over an year. In the meantime I ended up being eligible for an i-130 petition for alien relative and I have already filed it. I have just realized that my old visa case got some updates recently but the thing is that I am not interested in the student visa anymore. I am waiting for my work permit to be able to support my American spouse (I am not a US citizen). Should I withdraw the student visa case now that I have filed the I-130 petition?
