I601A Approved, have some questions

Hello everyone,

 

My dad just got approved about 2 weeks ago. Have a lawyer and gathering what is needed after. My dad was telling me that the lawyer is telling him that there is a chance that he might get denied once he goes for the consular processing in Mexico for having brought me over as a child. Just hoping to get some info on that if anyone has heard of that happening and what can be done if that happens? Yes, I know I will probly get some replies saying to ask the lawyer, but just wanted to see if anyone has gone through this before and what their experience was like. Also, would love to get some info from people who have done the consular processing in Mexico recently and have a list of what is needed

The I 601a only deals with the illegal presence certainly wise of the lawyer yo mention other causes of inadmissiblity and certainly human smuggling is one for whatever reason I thought smuggling own children got a pass.

Thanks for the info. Was searching the forum for some info and it looks like it has happened to some people and have had to then file I601 and I212 because they were told they were denied at the consulate for alien smuggling for their kids and will have to go under "Family Unity" for the I601. It's looking like this is something that we will have to do and have the I601 and I212 ready to go for when that happens :(

They waive different things probably unlikely to need I 212 but I do not know history, hopefully the Lawyer has reviewed the totality of his situation.
