Documents revealed that Facebook's own internal research showed that the company knew some of its products were harming the mental health of some of its users, most notably teen girls.

 

"Facebook's own research says, as these young women begin to consume this eating disorder content, they get more and more depressed. And it actually makes them use [Instagram] more," Haugen said.

 

Haugen said that Facebook placed profit above the well-being of those harmed.

 

"Facebook has realized that if they change the algorithm to be safer, people will spend less time on the site, they'll click on less ads, they'll make less money," she said. "Facebook, over and over again, has shown it chooses profit over safety."

I kind of feel that CEHST on VJ falls into the same category as facebook.

Recently found out we had a former member just got hot with many counts of producing child porn. 61 years old and looking at 100 years.

I had a renter/ friend that was a therapist.  She said that is the way they are wired. Just like some men like tall, short, thick, black brown or even other men, it's just what they like. She said there is really no cure for it only a chance to control it or take away their sex drive medically. 

 

BTW She was a bit of a liberal but all for life time monitoring. 

 

I am not talking about those absurd cases where a 19 year old gets caught with a 17 year old and their life gets ruined.

So fb gets roasted in the media. I have seen several reputable articles suggesting the beginning of the end.

She seems pissed that FB is only censoring 95% of conservative content and not the whole 100%.

Seen a lot of people suggesting these was a move by Facebook to justify censoring even more
