Hello, can you tell me exactly what I should upload in this place?  Should I upload here just the 2020 form 1040 itself (2 pages) in one PDF, or should I upload the 2020 form 1040, schedules and W2s in one PDF all here?  I know the transcript is better but we don't have it yet.  Thank you for help in advance because I'm really confused!

An IRS tax transcript can be downloaded from their website in a few minutes.

We uploaded my (petitioner) 2020 W-2 as well as the IRS tax transcripts from 2020, 2019, and 2018. My understanding is that the transcripts contain the same info as the 1040, but the transcripts are preferred.

Thanks for your response!  Yes, unfortunately we can't get a transcript because the return hasn't been processed yet.  :(

Thanks!  Unfortunately the transcript is not available since the return hasn't processed.  I ended up calling the NVC.  I called at 7:00 AM and still was waiting to talk to a rep for 40 minutes!  The agent told me to put just the form 1040 tax return (2 pages) under required documents where it says "Tax return or transcript" and then up load the w2 in Additonal Documents under Form W2 wage and tax statement and the schedules under Federal Income Tax schedule also under Additional Documents.  I have seen where someone's Tax return or transcript got rejected because they included the W2 in the tax return or transcript they uploaded.  So my advice is to separate everything out if you don't have a transcript.  There is a thread for people who filed their 2020 tax return jointly with an ITIN application for their spouse if anyone is interested.  Anyway we uploaded all of our documents for the NVC and submitted last night now we just need to wait 😁!
