According to statistics from The Associated Press, the five states with the highest percentage of a fully vaccinated population are all in New England, with Vermont leading, followed by Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. New Hampshire is 10th.

Also thought all media stories about hospitalization rates were fake news ?

Even though parts of New England are seeing record case counts, hospitalizations and deaths that rival pre-vaccine peaks, largely among the unvaccinated, the region hasn’t seen the impact the delta variant wave has wrought on other parts of the country

What we've learned with delta and looking beyond delta, is because that's where our focus is as well, to really reach those levels of vaccination, to give you that true population level protection, you need to be in excess of 90%,” said Tom McCarthy, the executive director of the Rhode Island Department of Health COVID Response Unit.

I'll be in CT and RI later this month. My family there all say life is pretty much back to normal, everything's open, and most importantly the vaccinated are not the ones filling the hospitals.

Natural immunity is where it's at.  Sad that you are too... (whatever the PC word is)  to understand the facts.

Just for the record you can say it. I will not report you.

and how does one develop natural immunity?

I know you being the only person in America that does not know anyone that was very ill or died, you think getting it is no big deal.

Get covid.  Recover. Like 99.95% of humanity has.

Seriously, it helps to look at data in context. CT (8)/RI (11)/VT (7)/MA (7)/NH (11) are at the very bottom of the chart when it comes to number of hospitalizations per hundred thousand over the last 2 weeks. Maine is worse, but still at 18/100k low. California is at 14, just to throw out another number.

What's at the top so we can compare? WV (61 per 100k), followed by KY (47), ID (43), MT (42), WY (42). Texas is 35. Georgia is 37. That's a huge order of difference between VT and WV.

Here's where I've pulled those numbers from: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/us/covid-cases.html

Paywall.  Useless link.

Worldometers has a free, very customizable site.

The data from the home page of the link you just posted torpedoes your death rated claim

It's not a useless link. I signed out of NYT and saw it just fine when I logged in not using my paid account. You can put in a throwaway email address and get in. I don't want to accuse you of not following a link. I know how I feel when people accuse me of it.

I know worldometers, and I think it's reliable but it does not track hospitalizations (I double checked) unless I'm missing something. I prefer to compare apples to apples, thanks.

I don't pay for ANY worthless, trashy news source.  Whatever free glimpses I get, that is it.  So for me, it is useless because they are blocking me.  3 days into the month.  Pretty sad.

No news site in America is worth the time of me creating a fake email address to read their drivel.  If you find it worth paying someone's money, good on you. I do not.  AlJazeera and SkyNews is free, you might be better off reading THEIR stories, and saving your money.
