Tried to restore to an earlier version, but, having trouble do that. Can someone else trying?

I don't know what's happening with it. A couple of days ago, every page but the two locked ones, was missing.  @SoCal2021 was able to find an earlier version and with some advice from @KandN, I was able to transfer the pages back into the current version. This enabled us to keep the URL we are all familiar with. I can't imagine why this is happening.

I am baffled with what is happening as well.  It is happening to all the spreadsheets at once....a) it could be a system glitch or b) it could be a bad actor doing bad things.  I certainly hope it is the former.  I can not imagine anyone in this community will do such a horrible thing.  It is a tool used by many and it is a shame to wipe out all the data.  Google Sheets does automatic save of previous versions.  So, it can always be retrieved by going to: file, version history and then see version history.  It just takes a lot of work to do that.

 

I just checked and it is working as of 5 pm PDT

I just checked it again, and it's working. How strange. About twenty minutes ago, every page was blank.

Same, I hope it’s a system glitch as well. We’re all in this together and I don’t see why anyone will try to delete anything. Is there some way to see what changes people make? Thanks to all who got it back working!

Best I can tell, the spreadsheets are set up so all users are anonymous. This is by design as it protects people’s identity.  Having said that IF there is an individual  doing this on purpose, he/she needs to be aware there are always ways to backtrack “digital footprints”. Let’s hope it is just a system glitch.

I can find earlier versions. I'm thinking, we can just use an earlier one and share the link as much as we can. Then, if it happens again, maybe we can copy the info into an new spreadsheet. Possibly, this one has become corrupted?

It's back to not working properly. I think someone has gone in and erased everything again. Restoring to previous versions is annoying.

I'm working on it right now. I've created a brand new spreadsheet and am copying all the info into it. Should be just a little while and I'll post the new URL.
