No.  My wife's I-751 has been pending since March of 2019.  She filed her N-400 in early August of 2022.  We are hoping for a combo interview soon. I have seen no evidence which shows filing the N-400 causes delays.   I have seen some cases which seemed to indicate filing the N-400 helped.  I don't see any harm in filing the N-400 when eligible. My opinion.  YMMV.

I’m on the same page here with this 👆🏻user. I can’t believe my eyes that somebody’s I-751 is taking THAT long - 3+ years with no action taken, bizarre. This should not take so long.
In most cases filing for N-400 does help, at least USCIS currently moves faster with naturalization and mostly grants combo interviews. My immigration lawyer calculated the dates for my I-751 and N-400 filing right away and did not advise in any way against filing when becoming eligible so I certainly won’t wait, filing this October.

Yes... for California and Texas.  There will be condos on Venus before the other service centers will do their job.

It does feel that way! Mine is at Vermont, too. We're waiting...... 😃

I love the optimism. Fun fact, the upper atmosphere of Venus is rather hospitable (temperate and air pressure). See https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Altitude_Venus_Operational_Concept

HAVOC will happen before USCIS zeroes out the I-751 backlog. Of that I am certain.
