Hi, I am technically a September filer but we had had issues so I ended up filing in October 12th (the 11th was a bank holiday apparently). Weirdly enough, I signed up for email updates, but I received a receipt number through SMS text messaging, and when I tried to enter the receipt number sent to me into the USCIS website it said "Not Found." 🤔

Just an update from me: I finally received a NOA for the biometrics appointment, which will be next week. I am so annoyed they want me to go in for it again. 😒

Got a little flustered at the lack of updates, so I gave them a call and filed a ticket to see if I was missing any notices (in case my newfound fear, the USCIS Case Status page not updating, actually happened). Agent let me know that nothing had moved yet on my case nor was I sent any notices apart from the first, and my ticket was resolved by my processing center (WAC), who informed me that a lot of the ASC have faced backlogs or delays due to COVID.

Also noticed that many folks who got WAC have not yet received anything regarding their biometrics. Just sharing in case anyone has been freaking out like I have!

We were blessed not to have to repeat it , but, we still had to pay for it 😳

We’re not freaking out, we just wish it was over. Praying they just send us the GC, since we interviewed last time.

The majority of October filers are 4 - 4.5 months into 'the wait'.  I have read other month/year threads previous to ours and several are still waiting with no word from anyone.  I would grab a magazine and not think about this too hard.  I did that during the I-129f phase and drove myself crazy, calling the USCIS incessantly, sitting on hold for what seemed like forever, demanding Tier 2 agents when I didn't get the answers I wanted, etc.  It NEVER accomplished a thing.  Wasted effort.

I share your hope for a streamlined process, a GC for my wife by the end of the year.  However, I just won't put myself through any agony.  I'll just keep tabs on things, check the case status from time to time, amuse myself with the citizenship quizzes on the Lawfully app (an app that is a complete waste of time for the most part but I try to get some fun out of it).  If it gets to be too long we will consider starting the N-400 and try turning ours into a combo (though I don't know how much help that will be in the long run - I have read conflicting thoughts on this).

Good luck.

Yes, actually I think that describes it best: not necessarily a freak out, just wanting to get it done and over with. I just really didn't want to have missed anything important, given all the horror stories here about people missing notices. :(

I know, I'm just really anxious! We've had a ton of major life changes in the last few months, and our mailman nearly didn't deliver our NOA1 as he thought we had moved. Fortunately we'd caught him and got it sorted. That one call plus the ticket was plenty reassuring, haha, no more hounding from me for a long while.

I’m a July2021 filer but had the somewhat similar situation, I signed up for email updates but only got the text message and my recent number would not work on the US CIS website. I also got a letter to go for biometrics again (despite AOS), appt was in January 2022. After biometrics appointment, I tried my receipt number again on USCIS website it worked, my status updated to fingerprints taken same day. It’s the only thing that shows up on the tracker but at least now I can track it online. So maybe there’ll be little bit of a silver lining for you too 🙂 good luck.

Interested if anyone here has filed/thought about filling for the N400 process to become a citizen.  It is my understanding that as a spouse married to a US citizen my time is reduced to 3 years of waiting.  We got married in Apr'18, about 9 months for GC and two years, so this is where I am applying to remove conditions.  Hence the reason I am n this tread.

Maybe I am completely misunderstanding this..

Yes when it is time. Most people on this thread cannot file until N-400 until October 2022.

Our case status is still Case was Received.

We did receive a letter last November that biometrics would be waived this time around but our status never subsequently changed.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we think (hope!) our case will be adjudicated sometime between August and December.  We will see.

hi folks, i filed n400 12 montsh ago and my i751(waiver) has been pending since july 2020.

my i751 never got transferred after filing n400.

last update for both is "fingerprints taken"

is anyone in similar situation? i'm worried that my case got forgotten because it is never transferred. i see almost everyone's case gets transferred after filing n400 but mine didn't.

appreciate any feedback
