I-751 October 2021 Filers

Question for my fellow October, 2021 filers.  My Informed Delivery email today (November 12) indicated we are getting a letter from the USCIS.  It didn't arrive today so hopefully tomorrow as Informed Delivery isn't 100% accurate.

In the image I can see enough of the letter that seems to suggest biometrics from the I-485 will be reused so we won't need to do that step this time around.  When the letter finally arrives I will confirm this.

In checking our case status online it still reads Case Was Received.  Does anybody still have that status online even though they got the 'biometrics waived' letter?  Is there a lag time that people have noticed and eventually the case status does change?

It's so frustrating when you see something you're waiting for in informed delivery, and then it doesn't come. It's happened to me and the letter came the next day. Don't worry about the online status not updating. Sometimes, it just doesn't.

Thanks for feeling our pain.  🙂 We received the official letter today and our biometrics have in fact been waived.  I will update our row on the October spreadsheet later today.

So now we're just in a waiting state.  The Vermont Service Center is currently 10-16.5 months for an I-751.  We're hoping we are closer to the 10 months.  Got our fingers crossed.

Ours is at the Vermont Service Center, too. Good luck to everyone there for a quick approval!

Hi! Firstable, I really appreciate anyone who passed by and leaves their comment, advice on this forum. I'm kinda in panic now because I dropped my I-751 package on 11/12 in ups, and my 90 day window opens is 11/13. However, the package is delivered and signed by one of the USCIS Phoenix officer on 11/15. Will they reject me?

Again thank you so much for your timing and advice! Wishing all the good luck on your application as well.

No we didn’t get that.

Do you have a copy of the I-751 you sent?

Our copy has

USCIS
Form I-751
OMB No. 1615-0038
Expires 12/31/2019

in the top right corner.

Checking now, that is still the current form.

This isn’t the first time a I’ve heard of this problem. What is it with home printers that don’t print bar codes?

Hey Everyone,

Thought I would start this thread for all my fellow October filers. Hope we can all share our progress along the way while also helping each other out, if any of us have any questions.

We sent out our I-751 package yesterday. Was pricey to send it express mail but my husband was fed up with me only fiddling with it and making changes, so he was relieved to get it out of the house lol.

Our package consisted of:

Cover Letter

Personal Check for 680

G-1145

Form I-751

Conditional GC - mine

US Passport - hubby

Marriage Certificate

Bank Cards for Joint Acc

Bank statements for checking account from the last two years

Bank statements for savings account from the time it was open to present

2020 & 2019 tax returns with W-2

2020 & 2019 tax transcript

Hubby’s drivers permit along with his previous ID showing current address

My ID showing current address

Renters Insurance for the Year 2020

Letter from landlord explaining our rental agreement

Cable and phone bill for the last two years

Credit cards for our Joint Acc

Credit card statements for the last two years showing our activities

Insurance cards for two years and also info  on our current plan

Two affidavit letters (only thing we sent that was original)

20 pictures

That’s pretty much it.  It’s a pretty big package with all the statements. We debated back and forth on what to send and after reading from people’s experiences here, we decided to be safe and send everything. Our package should get there by end of day Monday. Hopefully we’ll receive a notification by Tuesday at least. Will post any updates as this process goes along. Hope everyone else will as well.

Best of luck to all of you!

Hi!

Thanks for giving us this overview of how you prepared your application and what you included. However, I have a question - do our US citizen spouses really need to include a copy of their passport? I thought only a copy of the green card (back and forth) was sufficient for the Permanent Resident.

Best,

They do not need to include a copy of their passports.

Hey,

Thanks. You definitely don’t need to include it. We just did because we already had a copy of it lying around.

Our status didn't change on MyUSCIS or the tracker. No text message or email. Just the letter. Informed delivery is great. They need to change the envelope stuffer or adjust the machine. We could read the letter through the window, too)))

Finally done...

We're Potomac Service Center,  20-23 months.   We're hoping closer to 20.   😁

Check out "Edition" on the below website...........

Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence | USCIS

I'm including the text under "Edition"......... as long as you used 12/2/19, you're golden.

Edition Date

12/02/19. We will publish a new version of this form soon. In the meantime, you may continue using the 12/02/19 edition despite the expiration date. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions.

Dates are listed in mm/dd/yy format.
