1. We didn’t number or write our names and A # on our attachments. On our cover letter, we listed everything that was sent and exactly how it was separated. We separated it with binder clips and paper clips. Did the same thing during AOS and it was fine.

2. Everyone sends their application to the same Phoenix address. It just differs based on your shipping method. USPS vs UPS and FedEx. When it gets there, they then send it to the office for your area.

3. We didn’t use N/A. We just left what didn’t apply to us blank. I know some people do and others don’t. Same thing during our AOS process. We left them blank. Mostly though, I was very nervous to put it in the wrong place. In another I-751 website forum, someone got their application rejected because they put N/A for middle name. And the computer thought the name was John N/A Doe. If you’re putting N/A, I think for names especially, you should leave it blank.

4. A lot of people did use credit cards for their payment. As to some offices not accepting card payments, we were worried about that same thing. We didn’t know what our office would be and if they were accepting credit card payments. I think you’ll be fine with it. We did send a personal check from our joint account though.

5. As to the color pen, we used a black ink pen. Not sure about blue ink. But its pretty simple to use a black ink pen, if you’re worried about using a blue.

Hope that helps. Good luck on your application!

Thank you! Much appreciated!

**Thank you all for the answers to my latest post** (In case I missed someone)

It's great to know there are other people out there going through these nerve-wracking immigration processes.

I have another another question (more an opinion this time). Do you think this is sufficient proof of bona fide marriage? We don't have a joint checking account (only a credit one) and I am not showing up on our bills as the account of the energy provider does not allow to put two people on the same online account.

  • Copies of 2019 and 2020 tax returns and transcripts (filing jointly).
  • Copies of our apartment rental agreements (3 rental agreements) with joint occupancy.
  • Copies of health insurance cards with both names on.
  • Copy of car insurance identification card with both names on.
  • Copy of credit card statements (May 2020 and October 2021) of our joint account with both names on.
  • Copy of bank statement from my checking account with transactions made to my husband (the US citizen) for share expenses outside of bills (for the past 18 months).
  • Copy of phone account plan with both names on.
  • Copies of flight reservation emails with both names on.
  • Photographs from trips with relative captions on the back.
  • Two affidavits of support from U.S. citizen friends attesting our relationship and marriage.

Thank you.

I am not sure who maintains the gold copy of our spreadsheet but it's back to being totally blown out of the water again.  This seems to be a recurring problem and I am not sure who is absent-mindedly (or mischievously) blowing the data away.  Very frustrating.

It appears that someone is sabotaging our spreadsheet. I created it, to replace the previous, sabotaged one, and now it's happening to this one. I just restored it, so you should be able to see it now.

Thanks, looks good.  Appreciate the work you do on this.  I hope if it's sabotage the individual(s) in question can get a life.  If someone is messing it up by accident I hope the individual(s) in question can take a good class in MS Excel.

It would take a huge accident to delete every single thing like that! Lol!  Thanks for letting me know that it happened again.

I agree. I hope this person grows up and move on to other things.
Unfortunately it is not an accident. It is intentional. Thanks @Joyoussinger

Hello again fellow VJers. 751 time for us, as well, and we're Oct 2021 filers ahead of a Jan 22 expiry date for GC.

A bunch of things came up in life all at once, so I had to whip the whole package together in a couple hours. I actually completed the PDF app once before, but forgot to save it to the cloud (going back and forth due to ongoing move).

In our "conditional" time together, we've welcomed a baby and just now moving to a different state (I actually waited a couple days into the 90d period to file, in order to avoid the hassle of change addresses later).

Pkg:

- joint bank account statements (didn't print all banks, just chose a couple main ones, and only the last two months)

- joint investment accounts (again just chose a couple main institutions)

- joint auto title and home purchase/tax docs

- baby birth cert and birth letter (photocopies)

- photos (not a lot to see, since we didn't travel anywhere. Just some casuals of pregnancy progress and with family/friends during pandemic)

Mailed USPS 10/20/2021

Check cashed/posted to account 10/27 (nope on the credit card, now and forever on paper applications. Too many numbers/possibilities to typo imo)

Lessons learned and stuff omitted since the 485... less neurotic about having every little detail stuffed in. Also no joint tax returns because I honestly just forgot about it. No travel evidence, either, even though I had fully paid bookings for our second honeymoon slated for early '20 that never happened due to the pandemic. No affidavits this time because we repeatedly heard they were the weakest evidence + I just felt too awkward about imposing this on friends. Organized it into a couple sleeves, but didn't make an entire bound presentation like last time.

2018/08/28 - mailed combo 130/485/131/765 with evidence, omitted 693, used personal checks and USPS priority mail

2018/09/07 - e-notice for received apps (some went to spam), checks cashed

2018/09/13 - hard copies of receipts for above

2018/09/14 - e-notice for biometrics notice

2018/09/22 - bio appt hard copies arrived, with 10/08 date

2018/09/25 - courtesy letter for missing I-693

2018/09/26 - biometrics completed early as walk-in

2018/10/03 - e-notice for "case is ready to be scheduled"

2019/01/31 - e-notice for "new card ordered for production" (EAD)
2019/02/05 - hard copies of notices of approval for EAD and AP

2019/10/07 - mailed renewal apps for EAD and AP (~120d before combo card expiration)

2019/12/03 - got 693 medical exam in sealed envelope

2019/12/11 - e-notification "interview was scheduled"

2019/12/17 - interview notice delivered, 2020/1/15

2020/1/15 - interview in SF, card in production

2020/1/24 - Conditional (2year) green card received in mail

Is there anyway you can see who that person is? Who did what? It’s so damn inconsiderate. That’s person is a serious  a-hole

I agree! Anyone using the spreadsheet just appears as "anonymous".

I am researching to see if can find a way to flag this loser down.  It is indeed unfortunate what they are doing.
