Hello all,

I am really confused. My fiance is in the Philippines and i am in the USA. We are getting married at Utah online this month. I am reading all the steps to then be able to get my 9a Visa to go to Philippines and when it comes to Notifying the Philippines Consulate with forms i am confused on the Report of Marriage form. It says it must be 5 originally signed forms and that because it is an online marriage that both the groom must sign and have it notarized and the bride must do the same. If that is the case then how can we keep the forms original in handwriting and how do we each get it notarized in eachs country without the others signature on it yet. I mean can she fill out her part then sign it and have it notarized and then scan it and send to me to fill out my part and signed it and also have it notarized? Would not a scan make it no longer an original? I am confused on how for both of us to fill it out and both get it notarized in each country and keep the 5 forms original. Thank you for your time.

Hi Hank,

Thank you for the info. Do you have any idea on how long it takes documents to be received from The Philippines to the US through someone like DHL.FEDEX/UPS? thanks

If you use FedEx or DHL it will be a week maybe 2 weeks at most.
