NVC case creation

Hi All,

 

Thank you all for the help provided here in relation to my K1 application. I did get the i129f approved, now its at NVC since aug 20 2021. I have called them several times but still they havent created a case for the same. What can i do to get them to create the case since its been more than 30 days. Also once done is there a way to approach the indian embassy and get them to schedule an interview for us? I have already got the PCC done for my fiance. Can anyone please share their NVC expedite stories please?

Usually there's no need for an expedite for K1 at NVC but in this case it might help if you send them everything you sent to USCIS for an expedite.

Thanks all, was able to get the case number finally after 60 days. Question, it says admin processing what does that mean?

Where are you looking? At the CEAC page? Under immigrant visa? It should say at NVC, in transit or ready ( the last two are the steps after at NVC ). Now that you have the case number you should contact your embassy/ consulates IV unit if you want to expedite again.

Hi When i check the status in CEAC status it says that it is at NVC, i called NVC to check on what is going on. NVC told me that its in admin processing i dont know what that means. Is there any way to expedite my case to be sent to the embassy? This is for Mumbai india consulate.

Your case will sit there till the embassy requests for it. That's the admin processing.

 

Like I said above you now have to contact Mumbai if you want to expedite again. If they grant it they'll request your case from NVC.

Thanks a ton for the response. I did check with NVC, they rejected the request and told me to wait. Mumbai is scheduling interviews and there is no backlog at the moment to conduct K1 interviews and i am not sure as to why the embassy is rejecting it. What are my other options right now?

You asked NVC or Mumbai for the expedited interview? You have to contact the IV unit in Mumbai.

Can you please let me know as to how to reach out to the IV unit in Mumbai ? Are there any contact options?

Maybe ask in the India subforum if somebody knows how to reach them.

Thank you so much for the help, finally its in ready status at the embassy.

What are my next steps. We have filled the DS160 and waiting to finish off the medicals. How do we get the letter from the embassy?
