Medical Examination for the K1 Visa based AOS interview

Hi All,

After a LONG wait, my husband and I have finally received a date for the AOS interview. However I have a doubt about whether I need to do fill out Form I-693 and get medical examination done before the interview at all.

I have entered the USA with K1 visa. I did all of the required medical examinations and vaccinations on the second week of October in 2020 right before my interview at the local Embassy in my country, only after which I received my Visa. The sealed health report was taken by the immigration officer at the US airport upon my arrival.

We did not send in the Form I-693 along with our AOS packet, nor did we get any RFE from the USCIS regarding the same. However, as I am researching about what documents we need to take on the interview date, I am getting mixed answers on the internet.

Would really appreciate if we could get an answer.

Thanks in advance!

This is the I-693 in there. You do not need another medical as long as you filed for AOS within 1 year of doing the overseas medical which looks like you did.

Just making this clear, the K-1 medical is form DS-3025, so what they handed over when arriving was not an I-693.

Someone adjusting from a K-1 does not require an I-693 as long as the DS-3025 was marked off as complete and you filed for AOS within a year of the K-1 medical. See the pinned topic in this forum>
