Can someone please help so for the I-129f We put my physical address as mexico for me (the beneficiary) because me and my fiancé are here together so I thought it meant where I was physically. For everything else I put UK as I am from England I am not a Mexican resident or anything, but I just called the NVC number and they said my interview is in Mexico City?? How do I change this please. Thank you

Are you currently in Mexico and for how long you will be?

Mexico and Canada give the option to third country nationals to schedule appointments for non immigrant visas.

If you want to change the embassy, here's what you should do:

"If your case is at a U.S. embassy or consulate, contact the potential gaining U.S. embassy or consulate in writing to request a transfer of your case.  Please include a justification for the request.  If you are not a resident of that country, specify that in your request.

If you are requesting a transfer for a K Visa, the receiving Embassy or Consulate has the discretion to approve or deny the acceptance of a K visa application from an applicant outside the consular district.  Contact the potential gaining U.S. embassy or consulate in writing to request a transfer of your case and include the reason for the transfer request.  If you paid the MRV fee at the original post and the transfer request to a new post is subsequently approved, a new visa fee will be required."

Thanks for the help. I am not a resident of Mexico, I am only a UK citizen, I was just staying in mexico to visit my fiancé as he flew back and fourth from the US and he couldn’t visit England. We just received our NOA2 and case number so do we just need to send the letter of asking to change?

If it is ready to interview, then you may be able to interview in Mexico City with the FM3 tourist visa and you have the documents you need from England. Technically the would require a RT or RP visa but Mexico has played fast and loose with that 'rule'.   If you are going to interview in England then you need to have London request the case transfer.

Buena suerte!

It doesn't matter if you're not a resident, you can get interviewed there; if you're still there of course.

You can try calling and asking if a physical letter or an email are needed.

Since you just received NOA2, you can clear this up at NVC. They hold your case there before it goes to an embassy. Tell them you are a citizen of the UK and will be returning there to interview so send your case to London.

Hello .. I made embassy transfer and this was my process:

1. NOA2: July 23,2021
2. August 5: I sent an email to the embassy in Kyiv-Ukraine asking if it was possible for them to receive my case.
3. August 7: Kyiv agreed to take my case
4. August 27: NVC gave me my BGT number (Bogota-Colombia Embassy)
5. August 19: I sent a public inquiry to the NVC requesting a transfer from the embassy, attached my Ukrainian citizenship passport and the screenshots of the embassy approval.
6. September 10: NVC changed my number with the initials of KEV (Embassy of Ukraine)
7. At NVC I am waiting for my case to be sent

If your case is in NVC, these are the steps you must take, if your case is in the Mexican Embassy, you must contact the embassy directly and request this transfer.

I hope this information can help you
