Rescheduling Embassy Appointment after missing first one

My husband had his embassy appointment on 6/16/21 but his medical exams had not finished so he missed the appointment.  He finally finished his medical exams September 8th and we have not been able to schedule another embassy appointment.  We call everyday and log onto the website but there are still no appointments available.  Has anyone else experienced this or can provide any insight on when is the best time to call for available appointments.  My husband has been out of the US for 4 month.  This is in reference to the Embassy in El Salvador.

Clarification is needed here, did your husband cancel the appointment he had or did he simply not show up?

It's a moot point for your circumstances but for the benefit of others who may see this, your husband should've gone to the appointment as scheduled, issuance of a visa would've only been delayed until the results of the medical exam were received by the Embassy.

My apologies I should have mentioned in the first post.  He still went to his original embassy appointment and he was turned away.  The embassy told him that he would not be interviewed until his medical exams were completed.  Which took until September.

Not yet.  He is still trying to reschedule his original appointment from 6/16/21.  He has been calling for 3 weeks and going through the website but there have not been any appointments available this whole time.

I don’t understand why would he have to go back for a second interview? I went to my interview September 1st without my medical exams they just gave me back my passport and told me to send it through cargo expresso after my medical exams. I went to medical exams September 8th but I’m still waiting on my visa. I hope everything gets resolve for you guys. I’m going crazy here at the hotel I’m about to be here two months.
