Bacon doesn't cost that much here yet. However my wife and I like to have a good steak every once in a while and those have gone up in price dramatically. A ribeye that used to cost about $10 is now $25-$30. It is actually somehow cheaper to go to a steak house and have them cook it for us. I prefer to cook my own though.

That Wagyu at Costco is almost unaffordable now.  Go Brandon!!

I've always wanted to try a wagyu steak but could never justify spending almost $100 for one.

Well the good news is that you won't have to wait much longer to spend $100 on a non-Wagyu one!

Costco has A5 Japanese Wagyus for $100/lb right now.

The MDL doesn't care about rampant inflation.  Progress.

The scary thing is that they will get this monstrosity across the goal line with a dubious way to pay for it, and the federal government bureaucracy "nanny state" will continue to grow.

What do you mean pay for it? It's free. A tax cut actually

Yep, those corporations will not pass any of this along to the consumers either via price increases, or by shrinking product.

Did a little grocery shopping yesterday. Everything has gone up in price. Here are a few examples. Ribeye steak (only choice) $24/lb up from $7-$9/lb normally. NY strip (again only choice) $12.99/lb up from $5.99-$7.99/lb normally. Pork butt roast (which I like to smoke on a regular basis) $2/lb up from $1/lb normally. Bacon (this one shocked me the most) $11.99/lb up from $6/lb only 5 days ago. No turkeys to be found when this grocery store normally has tons of them this time of year and only turkey breast for $4/lb. Shortages of various items including almost no eggs (and the few dozen they have are ridiculously expensive). This store normally does a good job stocking everything. In 15+ years of shopping there I have never seen it like this. Let's go Brandon!
