When I was in Chemical Manuf, Calif had it's own special EPD rules. A lot people just did not do business there. A lot of trucking companies would relocate right over the border

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

So obviously I live in a small town... now depending on the items you're looking for some stuff has been low to out of stock since the pandemic started. It's common for me to go in one grocery store and see empty shelves depending on the items... but if you go to a rival store in the next small town, you'll find most everything well stocked. I also just went to the big box store, and everything was fine there too. Now Walmart and other department stores are a different story, that has been a mess for some time, and I don't see that getting better. I'll be ordering Xmas stuff early for sure.

 

In the UK though things are... not good. The in-laws tell me about the shortages constantly.
