Marriage based AOS

October 10th, 2021 - overnighted package I-485 I-130 I-131 I-765

October 11th - received at Chicago Lockbox

October 13th - Congresswoman notified me that husband’s case was accepted the day before and was on its way to NBC and gave me all the receipt numbers for the package in her email

October 14th - Online Account notices and information were sent

October 18th - received all the notices for I-485 I-130 I-131 I-765 in the mail

October 21st - received the online account access codes and set up information in the mail.

Upon signing up all the case statuses say the same “Case Was Received And A Receipt Notice Was Sent” dated to October 11th. Hoping biometrics comes soon 🤞🏻

Marriage-based AOS, following K1 visa

October 4--AOS package mailed via USPS

October 11--package delivered (a little surprising considering it was a federal holiday)

October 12--text messages confirming receipt of I-485, I-765, and I-131 with case numbers for each

October 16--I-797Cs arrive by mail

October 19--Online access code arrives in the mail. Was subsequently able to see online that the biometrics appointment was scheduled for 11/08/21

These initial stages have moved faster than I expected (which is a good thing, of course). It seems things have improved at USCIS from when we filed for the K1 visa in August 2020.

Congratulations!

Yeah, the speed of the AOS entirely depends on your field office and you seem to be in luck.

I find it insane that some offices can approve you in the same time it takes another office just to schedule biometrics. All based on where you live in the U.S.

AOS from L1B - spouse of USC - Seattle FO:

10/06/2021 - Packet mailed via UPS (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131)

10/07/2021 - Packet delivered

10/10/2021 - Text message with receipt numbers (IOE)

10/13/2021 - Personal checks payment pending

10/14/2021 - Personal checks payment posted

10/15/2021 - 4 receipt notices in mail (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131)

10/18/2021 - 1 account access notice for petitioner in mail (I-130)

10/19/2021 - 1 account access notice for beneficiary in mail (I-485, I-765, I-131)

11/13/2021 - I-693 deficiency notice (as expected)

12/03/2021 - Biometric appointment scheduled

12/27/2021 - Biometric appointment, Case Is Being Actively Reviewed (I-485, I-765)

02/08/2022 - Card is being produced (I-765)

02/16/2022 - Card delivered (EAD only, no AP)

09/28/2022 - Advance Parole Document Was Produced

~~ Used AP 3 times to enter U.S. after a short trip without issues ~~

01/05/2023 - RFE from Boise asking to provide I-693 (interview waived)

01/17/2023 - RFE response received

01/21/2023 - I-130 & I-485 approved!

01/28/2023 - Green card in hand

AOS package delivered 10/11/2021.

Texts received 10/15/2021.

Personal check cashed 10/18/2021.

We received the online access code today and the biometrics appointment date. At this point I regret applying for her SSN with the I-485, though.

Hello everyone!

Just like a lot here, we got the biometrics schedule for 11/16/2021. Does it seem like things are moving a bit faster now or everything still depends on the field office? Nevertheless, happy to see that a lot of cases are moving! Hope we can all get through this sooner than later. 😊

I think it's  just the luck of the draw or hit and miss as many folks are still waiting an excess amount of time for their Bio appointments! But we are always  glad to see it when they move faster. That's great for you, hopefully it will continue like that for you.

Thanks for the thread!

Mailed our AOS package today 10/18/2021 -- now waiting patiently for a text/email.

Just an update for my case:

local office: Dallas

- Sent AOS, EAD, AP application 10/18/2021

- Delivered 10/23/2021

- 3 NOA texts 10/27/2021 with 3 different case numbers (but the case numbers show apps were received 10/25/2021)
