Today is one of those days when I am sooo tired about how long this process has been.

im so tired of reading that people that have applied a year after me are getting scheduled for interview for no good reasons.

Same field office but just different luck I guess..

anyway, if nothing change I should be able to expedite based on my priority date being up.

i don’t want to waste some month because I know all to well they a normal expedite lead nowhere. I did two of them last year for my ead and the never bothered replying to it.

can someone who’s had a positive story of expediting with Congress person explain how they did it?

i know this might not even work but I want to try, my next step will probably be to book an info pass appointment at the field office directly to ask what in the work they could be doing.

my PD is may 4th 2020 and field office is San Antonio. I’m adjusting based on marriage to a us citizen.

Congress members cannot expedite anything, they can simply inquire and most often receive the same info that you have.

Infopass/Ombudsman would seem to be the best route.

When I was waiting for AOS (2016, people were getting approved within months left and right, and my case had no movement for 10 months) - I reached out to my local senator's office, signed the release of information form, and received interview notice within 1 week.

When I was waiting for my N400 due to case being stuck in the wrong field office for months (correct field office requested it to be transferred in October of 2020 and heard nothing back until June of 2021) I once again reached out to my local senator's office, and it was transferred in 2 days (senator's office actually forwarded me the reply from USCIS employee confirming the transfer).

If your case is outside of normal processing times - you should absolutely reach out to your local representative for their assistance.

However if your case is within normal processing times - I don't think they'll be able to help you simply based on others getting approved before you. I agree, this is very unfair but not much you can do but wait...

You can place an outside of normal processing times service enquiry when actually outside of normal processing times not expedite.
