Hello.  I am a green card holder and I have submitted I 130 petition for reunification with my son, he is over 21 years old, lives in Russia, is not married.  I received Form I 797 stating that USCIS received a petition and a letter with a code number to access the case in my account.
 1. Could you please tell me what notifications (letters) to expect further?  I know it takes about 7 years, but I would like to know what and when to expect further notifications and how to track the priority of consideration.

 2. How does the status (type) of the case change after I receive citizenship, for example, after 3 years?  Does this affect the speed of consideration of the case?

Thank you.

The next letter would usually by USCIS approval, then sending to NVC

It changes the VIsa category to F1.  It is currently a year longer wait.   Look at the times at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2022/visa-bulletin-for-october-2021.html

Note that you will have the option to retain F2B if the priority date is still more favorable than F1.

Please tell me what are the usual terms for receiving these letters?
