Oh I feel for you, I was upset about being moved to Vermont but Cali and Potomac sound like a nightmare ... I keep seing K3s mentioned here and on FB, but I guess I still dont get what the point of them is lol. Not like I could convince my husband (he's the petitioner) to give the goverment even more money in fees :D

Filing for a I-129 is actually free.

Starting a thread for I-130 August 2021 filers. Here is our timeline:

Priority Date (NOA1): August 27, 2021

Service Center: Vermont (transferred from Texas)

My NOA1 letter has Texas as my service center. A couple weeks after filing, I used Ask Emma which service center I was at and they said Vermont. Apparently it was transferred on Aug 27, which is the same day my NOA1 was sent. I am not sure why they would put Texas on the NOA1 receipt and they immediately transfer it to Vermont. The agent said cases are transferred for efficiency and workload balance.

How do you Ask Emma?  What do you ask her to get your service center?  She's just giving me generic responses.

ask for a live agent during work hours (their work hours, idk exactly but think like 9-5 eastern or something). itll ask you the purpose so pick case status and then it will ask for your receipt number .. just follow the instructions and itll connect  you to the agent. then theyll ask you everything again and beware that they wont talk to you if you say you're the beneficiary, you have to be the petitioner. They can tell you your service center at the moment and probably wether you had been transferred or not but when I tried to ask for soke stuff, more often then not I just got a generic copy-paste answer so it felt more like talking to a bot

Does anyone know what's going on with the timeline estimates? The 'working on' date under processing times shows as July '21 for CSC but my timeline and several others that are similar to mine show adjudication date estimates in 2023.  I'm confused

yeah, I dont get it either, Im at VSC and it says theyre working on PD aug 21, but I have no idea where they pulled that from, because my estimate is May-June 22 and PD Aug 3rd 21 and according to the stats page VSC  is obviously at April/May 21, not august

CSC is stats page is similar.  Shows they are working somewhere around May-June '21.  I wish they'd just hire more people and get rid of this ridiculous backlog.  It's agonizing keeping families apart for so long.

Same Here.

Priority Date (NOA1): August 16, 2021

Then we got another letter in the mail which says Vermont Service Centre few days later

I did not bother about which service centre its being processed after then. I had a chat with Emma today and it was confirmed to be in Vermont service centre. It was transferred there on the August 18, which was two days after it was received at Texas Service centre. The waiting time on USCIS website is 9.5-12.5 months, so i guess we'll just have to be patient and see how it goes.

I wish everyone luck.

Who’s this Emma everyone seems to be talking about on this thread ?

Search for "I-130 filers Immigration Visa Group" on Facebook. That is one and there are others once you start searching.

Emma is the automated helper bot on the USCIS website. Top right corner of webpage. Once you scroll down you will see a pic of a woman and it says "Need Help? Ask Emma >".

After 200 days our status changed to Case is Actively Being Reviewed. PD is August 5, 2021 and our service center is Texas. Happy to at least see something 🙇🏽‍♀️

Our PD is August 1, and our status changed to Actively Being Reviewed yesterday too. Our service center is also Texas (after being transferred from Potomac). We filed a 129F (K3) in November in the hope it would speed up the process.

Hello everyone,

My husband & I filed for his son (my stepson):

PD: August 26th, 2021

Case AR: September 24th, 2021

Our notice said Potomac service center, but when I inquired with Emma , she shared it’s at the California service center. Even though my case status updated from received to reviewing under a month, I thought it would be a quick turnaround but I’m still waiting almost 7 months in.

Hoping to get a decision at least by the summer so he can complete NVC & embassy stage by the end of this year.

I also inquired with Emma, and was told my case for my wife is at California service center also (started in Texas).   My case went into AR on Sept 28, 2021.   The VJ system is estimating July 2022 for my case.🤞  I saw on VJ Processing Times that processing at CSC  of July 19, 2021, getting closer to us August filers.

It was at Aug 2, 2021 on Wed. :(

I'm confused about the prediction date on the individual timelines.  While I understand each case is unique, some of the quoted times are listed as Feb '22 through April '22 and they were shown as Apr '22 to June '22 just a few days ago.  If you look at the "stats" section they days are getting longer so that's a contradiction.  I can't make rhyme or reason out of a lot of it.  Any ideas?

I’m also actually following a few I-130’s from family members who I helped file their paperwork.

My cousin who filed for his son and daughter both under 10 years of age, the same day online did so in July of 2021. Both PD dates were 07/18/2021 originally at the California service center.

The sons case went into AR on 10/20/2021 and his case is still in AR as of recent.

His daughter, on the other hand, her case didn’t go  to AR until November 14th, 2021 and she was approved recently on February 22nd, 2022 before her brothers.

We waited to see if the sons would change in the next few days as well since we basically filed the same day and time and due to the fact that his went into review before his sisters, but it still has not. We inquired with Emma and found out that the sons case was transferred to Texas And the daughters case was transferred to Nebraska. We were flabbergasted at how fast the daughters case was approved and it’s cause Nebraska has a processing timeline of 4-8 months. Texas is 18-23 months for my cousin since he’s a Permanent resident.

New Case story: now my other cousin who I sent off his paperwork for his mother, just got an approval today.

The PD date: 04/07/2021 from Potomac Service center

Case AR: October of 2021

Case approved: Today, March 11th, 2021 from Texas service center

I love the new feature on the website where USCIS uploads any document they mail out to you as soon as it’s generated in their system. So although my cousin hasn’t received the official letter in the mail yet, we saw the approval notice uploaded in the documents tab in his USCIS account.

I write all that just so people can have an idea of dates they’re working on in certain centers and try to make some sense of what’s going on depending on the service center.
