I did. They told me they contacted uscis and they usually give them about 4 week to respond... Still waiting

When did you send it? did you wait till you were outside of processing times or did you do it right away. Also, what info did you write? Sorry for all the questions I feel like idk where to even start

I contacted them via their website. They got back to me via email to ask for more informations and to fill a form. They told me thay they usually give uscis 30 days to answer their request then they will get back to me with news about my case. It was done 3 weeks ago. And I'm still waiting

Meu marido estava em um aplicativo que estava dando o tempo de processamento do Potomac em 440-441 dias. O nosso saiu com 439 dias.

Centro: Potomac

439 dias esperando.

I was able to speak to an agent today regarding my case and he told me they send a request for background check back on December 2021 and they haven't received a response yet which is ridiculous but that maybe explain why it's taking so long. I even ask him if they follow up and send another request and he said no they keep waiting for response. He told me some countries take a long time and he saw some cases took 2 years to get a response for background check :).

So who do they send these requests to? is it for the beneficiary or the petitioner? it's kinda reckless for them to wait for 10 months without following up!!!

the background check is for both from what he told me but i think what's taking forever is the beneficiary check. they send it to the country where they at. who do they send it to ? I have no idea. 

The status changed to Actively reviewing the date the requested the back ground check and that's the last date they touched the case. yeah he told me they just wait and don't follow up.

Oh interesting, I hope they move faster, other service center are much faster than Potomac/California, not sure why that is.

Also I submitted an expedite request on 9/27/2021 and it has been month and it's not even assigned to an officer yet. When I asked the agent today he said lately expedite requests are useless specially for I130. it's ridiculous
