Couldn't agree more.  I think they should have to go through the process as a condition of being hired. It should be a part of their vetting process for employment.  However, it's the government.  They don't give 2 shits about the people they supposedly "serve" because they get their paycheck whether we wait a day or a decade.  If there were competition from the private sector, those processing times would drop like flies.

To their credit, they are clear about the time they predict it'll take. My biggest issue is the lack of transparency with what is happening behind the curtains during the wait - mine was transferred to Potomac without me knowing, for example, which effects my waiting time, of course. And what does "Active Review" mean anyway? Why are 2022 petitions being approved before ours?

I-130 (Potomac)

NOA1: 09/11/2021

NOA2: 11/21/2022

(NVC + Frankfurt Consulate)

NVC Docs Submitted: 12/03/2022

DQ: 01/30/2023

Appointment: 03/14/2023

Exactly. I will hit 11 months of waiting tomorrow and California service center predicts 10.5 months of waiting. So I am hoping at the latest that I get approved by the end of august. I am emotionally, mentally and physically exhausted from just this part of the process

That's awful. I doubt it will take much longer, but you also have the option of submitting an "outside normal processing times" inquiry in the next couple of months worst case (I have to wait until mid-December 🙄). Does anyone here know what that process typically looks like? How long does it take for them to respond to those inquiries?

I don’t think it will take much longer either but it’s the waiting that’s killing me. At the latest I want my approval by end of September. I am going back to visit my husband in November and want my approval by the time I go visit him. If I don’t receive it by then I will have been waiting 450 days (15 months) 🥴🥴🥴

I’m at California service center and the service center says 10.5 months and I just hit 11 months today. I don’t know about Texas but hoping we both get our approvals soon. Because like you it is all I can think about as well

Are you sure you are at Texas SC?   Ask Emma tomorrow for a live agent to find out where service center has your case.

My latest VJ says “approval past due” and still links to someone else’s account. Really hoping I get my approval this week or next because this is beyond frustrating!!!!!!

me 2 the same never had a live agent and every way doesn’t work for me

You have to ask to speak to a representative and then state why you want to speak one

You need to keep trying. Sometimes it gives link but if you repeatedly ask for live agent you will go through eventually. But be aware that they go away from chat very quickly.. when i asked about my service centre, they wrote in capital letters California and logged out without any goodbyes.. this whole ucsis thing is a total joke.

Hello Everyone.

I had filed I-130 August 28 2021.

I received my approval April 16 2022.

NOA1 said Nebraska.

Emma and NOA2 said Texas.

Hope this helps.

Really hoping I get my approval this month. I’m legit going crazy!!!!!! I want to be able to plan for when my husband will be here and I can do that better once we get our approval. Please God hear my plea 🙏🏻
