Do you know whether there will be a long wait time for an appointment at the Jordanian consulate once you're approved and processed at NVC? We're on the same boat.

Honestly I don’t know. I don’t want to be pessimistic but Amman is the only US embassy that still hasn’t fully reopened to pre Corona hours/schedules so it doesn’t look good for us. NVC processing can take anywhere from 3-6 months but once it goes to Amman there’s no telling what will happen with the timeline. It’s been 321 days of waiting so far and we haven’t even gotten our i130 approval. 😕

And my congresswoman essentially told me that her staffers gave me wrong information. So unless I’m deathly ill or dirt broke and jobless I won’t be able to expedite my wife’s petition.

I pray we all see quick resolutions. For the most part my wife and I are handling this well. Every 28 days or so she loses patience and hope and breaks down and I need to reassure her and talk her down but that’s not the end of the world. Good luck.

Sorry to hear that. Our I-130 has been pending for 302 days. Are you and your wife living together in Jordan? Also, not sure if this helps but apparently the US embassy in Jordan just announced visa walk-ins  (no appointment needed) for employment based visas - so perhaps they're going to open up fully.

Also, do you know whether you can choose a different embassy once the i-130 is approved (at the NVC stage) as opposed to requesting that your case be transferred to another embassy?

I’m waiting 316 days as of today for my approval. Really trying to keep the faith and hope because it is a daily struggle. Really hoping to get my approval this month

No I am back in the States now and she’s still in Jordan living at her Father’s house. I’ve been back 3 times since our marriage and am planning another trip at end of august. We are newly weds.  What is your situation?

Yea I heard about the employment and student visa situation. Inshallah it reopens fully soon!

Ah got it yeah that's tough. So my spouse is a Ph.D. student (final year) and has been able to spend most of his time in Jordan with me, but he travels back and forth often. I would say he spends like 70% of his time in Jordan. I used to live in the US, but when we got married I decided to take a job in Jordan so I can do consular processing instead of AOS in the US (I didn't want to be unemployed while waiting for an EAD or GC). I'm not Jordanian.

This is so crazy I haven’t seen any people from California service center from august get an approval in July! Hope there’s some updates too and I hope I’m one of them. 317 days today and counting waiting on my approval🥺

I'm thinking maybe there's a lot of officers taking vacations now or idk? Vermont didn't have very many approvals this month yet either (compared to previous months). Kinda frustrating given we all have been waiting for months and months and now it will take even longer because of summer vacations 🙃

True. But hopefully hear something very soon. My anniversary is next Wednesday so hoping by then or at the latest end of next month

Just checked uscis processing times and California is now from 9.5 months to 10.5. 🥺 Nebraska made a huge jump from 6 months to 10.5 . Texas and Potomac stayed the same and Vermont moved from 15 to 16 months. I just know my approval is coming soon because I am already at 10.5 months at California Service Center. Praying for us all

Hardly anything is moving at Potomac either, it seems to me. It's probably a general issue with vacation season.

Thanks for the echo.. I just checked uscis website as well, and this is the message I got: The earliest you can submit questions is April 26, 2023. Please do not contact us before this date. ... idk how long can one remain "hopeful and optimistic" when things go from bad to worse all the time

They need to seriously reorganize their efforts. My feeling is this worsening of timelines is a symptom of systemic incompetence and inefficiency at USCIS (i.e., pulling off the top of the stack and approving recent 2022 filers while our petitions gather dust).

I believe they move the processing times up so you can’t inquire until they have caught up so that when you get your approval you will get it before it reaches outside normal processing times

I am still very hopeful that I will get my approval by the end of next month. For sure before I go back and visit my husband in November. I have to keep the faith
