Information on TWIC Anotated Visas

I hold a B1 Visa, however I need the TWIC Letter received anotation on the Visa, Do I need to apply all over again?, Any help comments? thank you

thanks for message,  I got the TWIC application and TSA Enrollemnt, etc,  The fact is that they are asking me a "TWIC anotated Letter received" stamp, etc, on my VISA B1 and ubntil now I could not get any information from Federal Offices on how to get it done....do I need to apply all over again for a B1 Visa altogether? thank you

These individuals are required to meet the eligibility requirements set forth by the Department of State for a B-1 visa (‘Temporary Visitor for Business’) and are required to provide an official letter from their employer stating that a TWIC is required to perform the individual’s job in the maritime industry.

My question is :

I already have a B1 Visa  but I need to add the TWIC annotated,  do you know If I have to rea pply all over again to the B1 Visa?

If you visa is annotated then you are allowed to apply for a TWIC when you are in the US.   This is typically done for maritime workers but there also cases in which a B1 holder is needing a TWIC.   

 

You would have provided a letter from your employer to get the annotation.

I think you need to reapply for the VISA with the TWIC letter from your employer.

Does the annotation have to be printed on the visa, or can CBP or TSA stamp an annotation on if you present the letter? If it needs to be a printed part of the visa like on the attached example, then you will have to apply for a new one.

Yes Iam coming to the idea that I may have to apply altogether for a new B1 Visa even if I already have one,.....

 

I have been to a TSA Offce and  they said -as your image- I needed TWIC Letter Received....I presented the letter to the TSA Office and they said they couldnt put a stamp or something.....

Ok then yes you are going to need a new one. Do you know if your home country is offering routine B visa appointments at the moment? Not sure what exactly work you do but you may be able to get an emergency appointment for this if they’re not.

The Country is Argentina, Buenos Aires City. Believe you have to sign up as usual for getting the Visa and then see if the Embassy gives appointments. I will try the emergency option -if the embassy is not filtering with too many requirements for this option..........-- I work in the Maritime logistics port sectors

Just read on the US Embassy site

 

Emergency need includes urgent travel related to a life and death or other medical emergency of the applicant and/or close family member...

 

Not sure If I can use this option for my TWIC Letter need.........

Unfortunately it has to be printed on the VISA.

There is one "gotcha" on getting the TWIC.   You will need to do a visit to get the biometrics done before the TWIC is issued.  Then it takes a few weeks to get the card.  So you have to visit before you need it.

Then there is on "Benefit" not talked too much about for TWIC.   You can use at as global entry at the Airport!
