hi all, we just go the I-797C today, Sept 27, appointment is for Oct 15th. i think its pretty quick, only mailed the I-485 end of August.

so i assume this appointment is just for fingerprinting right? it just talks about biometrics. then interview follows i guess? my wife's friend had a phone interview, i guess that is the usual now with Covid?

any idea how long to expect for the interview after the biometrics?

thanks

Phone interview?  I have not heard of that happening.

If she is adjusting from a tourist visa, she will likely be interviewed.

You can look at the processing times for your particular LFO.   Our LFO is very busy and backlogged, and my husband's interview was close to a year after biometrics.

ok, thanks, i don't know for sure which LFO we're in. i mailed the I-485 to Chicago but live in upstate NY. assuming my LFO is NYC, it 10 to 38 month wait!

FYI, my wife's friend was coming from B2 visa also and got phone interview in Texas, green card only took bout 3 months
