Non filling tax letter

SO I am in the ceac nvc stage.i have joint sponser and I am doing cr1.i never filed taxes in my life,do I request last 3 years of non filling from IRS website? Like make 3 different requests? Is the non filling letter necessary or just simply write a letter explaining why? That is the only thing i need to do.

Just add a letter of explanation on why you didn't have to file or write the explanation in Part 11, Additional Information.

In the letter  is it ok to write I was working but I never made enough money to file?

Yep.  That is a valid reason, but I suggest you double check that you were under the income threshold for filing.

The filing threshold is relatively low. But as mentioned above, look up the filing threshold for the applicable tax years.
