I'm currently at the stage of booking an interview in the London embassy for a K1 visa. There are currently no appointments, as I'm quite flexible I'm able to just get whatever the first appointment that comes up but after a few days of  checking every hour or so not a single one has come up. How long are the typical waits for a free interview slot to open up in the AIS system for the US embassy in London? Are there any typical times that these are released? How long does one typically spend in the system waiting for a slot to open?

Thank you so much to anyone who can answer these questions.

Might be better if asked in the UK regional forum.  Report your post and add a comment for a moderator to move it to the UK regional forums.

For Kyiv it was a bit random.  We used to check every Monday and Friday.  Eventually I emailed the embassy and they responded a day later, saying there were 2 open dates next month.  When we logged in, those 2 days showed up.

I checked for almost a week every day, and I saw one appear at 11pm at night for an interview 1-2 days later, which I couldn't get, and one for 12th October a few days later at about 1am oddly, I checked before I slept and got that one. To summarise, I think its just a matter of trying each day and seeing if something comes up, just don't get stressed or overwhelmed with it, you'll get one soon with a bit of patience. :)
