i called USEM this # 001-632-528-6300 and press 7 extn 5184-5185 i havent ahold with some agent answering machine says " the person in this extn .. not available"something like that" please call again later, bye

what should i do this... in order not to hang the phone ... ohh help i keep dial again and again that # but same situition...

Hi jarl,

This is completely normal for the USE in manila..

You unfortunatly have to keep on trying until you get through to somebody.

A tip: If you call ext 5184 or 5185, and the phone actually rings a few times, that means the person is there (available) but not picking up the phone.

If when you call however, and you get an answering machine stating the person is on the phone, you know that person is not answering calls and is actually on the phone. I suggest you keep on calling the ext that actually rings as chances are that person is either shuffling through some papers, or taking a sip of pepsi or something lol

I have never pressed seven (7) before dialing the extension. Also, it is recommended that you call between 7:30am - 8:00am. If you continue having difficulties getting through to someone, then dial 0 for the operator and ask for the Immigrant Visa Unit. Remember, they are always on the phone and it appears that each section only has one - two lines. Good luck...

as i experienced they dont talk to the benefiaciary...lol....i think they have caller i.d....cos when i called them before using my land phone they dont answer me either. then when i used my computer to call them they told me that they only talk to the petitioner so i think they knew already what's the number pop up on there phone..if its from PI or u.s numbers so i let my husband keeps on bugging them all the time between 7a.m to 8am philippine time.

I used to call those exensions a couple of years ago at about 8:00am Manila time and would usually have success in talking to someone.

To keep from hanging up and dialing over and over I just push the number 0 when the message comes up and it immediately redials the extension that you just dialed .. the last time I called I pushed the number 0 a total of 31 times but I got thru without hanging up and redialing.

They told that our papers in okay now ,, i need to wait next week to receive my visa..
