Hey all

I have general question. I don't have anyone to compare it with.

How much is cost of medical insurance,

What is monthly premium or bi-weekly you pay (sigle or family coverage) - and doesn't matter what is a wage. I just would want to see some numbers. I just got a job offer and want to see a comparison.

Thanks

It varies much from company to company as to what the premium would be, whether single, family plan, deductables, etc. Co-pays also play a part in it. Limits to what they will pay vs what you will end up with also.

Yes, I know it is complicated to compare.

But anyway - if someone is willing to share some info I would be happy (can be in e-mail or private message).

I have medical insurance through my employer on myself atm...when Joel gets here and we get married, I'll add him. Right now I'm paying roughly $72 a month for coverage...when I add Joel, it will go to $175. This is an HMO too, with Blue Cross Blue Shield.

I pay $400 a month; but that's for student insurance, I don't have an employer to subsidize it.

I lost my medical insurance over a year ago and have been trying to find something I can afford since then. The plans I have found that are decent and cover medical issues well are around $300.00+ a month, which I just cannot afford. :( You would think since I work for a doctor he could get his employees good insurance.
