RFEs...how common are they?

So im just wondering how common RFEs actually are? I sent in my I129f package exactly as it should be(at least i hope!) with plenty of evidence and photos and things like that, but there is always the worry that an RFE will come our way and slow the whole process down. Any experience of RFEs?

I don't have any experience with RFE's (and hope I never do) since our journey has just started. I don't think they are all that common though. If you do everything that is requested of you, then you should be fine.

Well if you forget to sign something, then they are very common!!! Sorry There's always a few every month on VJ, but the majority of us go through without them. It just depends on if you remembered to submit everything needed and if the person reviewing the app. wants to be picky. Ie, requesting the beneficiaries birth cert.

I've gotten a couple. The first one was for my petition. But it was because the USCIS change something and had to send out new paperwork to EVERYBODY.

My 2nd was because when I send for wife's adjustment of status so she can her green card I didn't include a copy of one of the NOA's from her visa process. They said they needed it so they know she went through the visa process. Umm... they gave her the visa. Wouldn't they know? Anyway, make sure you hold on to your NOA's. Best bet is to not throw anything.

Not true - you can "do everything that's requested of you" and still get an RFE; search VJ and you'll see.
