The petitioning spouse is always the primary sponsor.  You have three options:

1. Get a job which provides sufficient annual income.

2.  Use evidence of sufficient assets for sponsorship of a new immigrant.

3.  Find a well-qualified joint sponsor who can provide evidence of sufficient income or assets.

The Consulate officer will evaluate your overall financial situation.

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

First of all who said i was trying to live in the US with no income furthermore I am a US citizen and I was merely asking about the process .

First of all, your post implies that you have no current employment income.  You would not be the first US citizen to ask such a question.  I simply gave you the options for a sponsor with insufficient current income.  Employment is not required.  However, sufficient current income or liquid assets are.  We all know that living in the US is expensive...especially for non-citizens.......and new immigrant sponsors are legally obligated.  Good luck on your journey.
