Yes it is flawed...I wish those with "ties" to Thailand to continue to vote for this, but in the mean time, we should write to VJ to request this. I already did last week but have not gotten a response.

There are quite a few filers with a fiance(e) in Thailand. I think a sub-forum dedicated to Thailand would be a good idea. We can share stories, advice and ask questions that are specifically geared towards Thailand. Many countries have their own sub-forum. How about us?

I'm in............

I can join, too -- just let me know.

SqdnGuns,

Why is that a problem?

Yodrak

Problem with the vote is is that it's not public, you have no idea who is voting.

Because peeps who could careless about Thailand can stack the vote...........

I would like to see a Thai sub-forum ... its not like Jamie76 is asking for or needs to justify an office, building, a secretary, a coffee-mess, plumbing, handicap-parking, etc. Its just another folder on a BBS, essentially another directory on a computer database, sorting electronic 0's and 1's under a new file structure, to put similar posts instead of a 136+ page single post. Analogously, my iTunes is separated into individual songs and playlists, not a single giant song that I have to search thru everytime to find the one or two songs I want to listen to.

Well, only 13 members even voted to have their own forum. 13 people need their own forum? There are 40 members out of Thailand who have been active on VJ either today or yesterday alone and only 1/3 of them at the most are asking for this.

the last time anyone out of Thailand posted to any thread in this sub-forum other than this one was two days ago. Come on people, you just aren't that busy!

It's not a question of how busy any of us were on VJ for the two days of 27/07/07 and 28/07/07. It is simply a request to make the visa journey a little easier and relevant for the current and future Thai-US couples who are just starting out, not having to plow thru 137 pages from a single post.

If I could successfully extrapolate the future based on statistics taken over just 2 days, I would definately quit my high-paying government job B) and become a day trader.

So make a new topic! There are topics on the very first page of this sub forum that have not been responded to in 4 days- and this is between all of us Vietnam posters, the Aussies, the Cambodians, a couple of Japanese and Koreans, and you guys. The second page has a topic that hasn't been touched in 10 days! How difficult could it possibly be to find a topic you want to respond to? You have to go back twice as far on the Phils' Forum to find one that old with just them there so I can see why they would need one.

By the way, I see the China sub-forum is really hopping. There hasn't been a post on there for almost a week.

That's pretty much it. I'm still not over the Phils leaving us. :crying:

Yes, it's always been like that too. The last time someone posted to some of the topics on the second page was a year ago. If you look at the first ever post (other than the introduction to the China forum), it was done by our friend Vietnam on February 3rd 2006. It sat there as the lone thread for over a month. Since then there have only ever been 34 Total topics-not even 3 pages worth- In a year and a half!

I told you, I would accept a trade of China for Thai.
