Hi, I’m a Malaysian and a US green card holder and has petitioned ( F2B ) my 23 year-old unmarried Malaysian daughter ( who still resides in Malaysia )  to get her green card on June 17th 2021.

I’ve been trying to get hold of any kind of information on how long does this kind of process ( F2B ) take for Malaysians and I can’t seem to find anything anywhere ( or maybe I didn’t try hard enough?!? )

Anyway, I would very much appreciate if there’s anyone who can shed a light on this.

Thank you for the link, HRQX.

I would like to know if there’s any Malaysian who had filed F2B to bring their unmarried kid/kids over to the US and how long did it take them to be able to do so.

Nothing Malaysia specific happens until the priority date is current and the case is ready for an interview. At that point -only  once the case is ready for interview- you can ask what the typical wait after that for an interview to be scheduled at the consulate in Malaysia is. By far the longest period of waiting is for the priority date to become current. If you followed the link given previously you’d see that visas are currently only available for F2B cases filed before 22 Sept 2015. So if you only filed recently as indicated, you likely have another 6-7 years to wait.
