At the risk of being punished for pulling up an old thread, it took a long time for this to be investigated despite the empty promises and manufactured outrage of Biden, Harris, Mayorkas, and the professional liar Jen P.  It is interesting that the MSM is largely ignoring this story, maybe the NYTimes and WaPo will tell their rapt readers in a year or so.

Well, it’s a good thing that our political leaders kept a cool head and advised everyone to wait for an investigation before jumping to conclusions. Right? Right? Nope:

 

“We were indeed horrified by the images. That is not who we are,” Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said shortly after the outrage.

 

“Of course they should never be able to do it again…It’s obviously horrific,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said in September.

 

President Joe Biden promised the agents involved would “pay” and there would “be consequences.” Vice President Kamala Harris compared the agents’ actions to slavery.

Some are opining that Abbott would be constitutionally justified to put the TX National Guard on the border as TX is being invaded.

Many members of the Texas National Guard are thoroughly upset at their months-long, seemingly permanent extended deployment in the border region.  They're losing their day jobs, their pay is erratic, and some have committed suicide.

The first charge is for “poor judgment” for instructing noncitizens “to go back to Mexico, or words to that effect,” while the second is for “unsafe conduct” for maneuvering the agent’s horse “in a way that caused a noncitizen to fall backward into the Rio Grande River … thereby compromising the safety of the noncitizen, yourself, and your horse.”

 

These proposals are not yet final, and CBP is expected to announce the results of its investigation into the agents as soon as Friday, according to people familiar with the matter not authorized to speak publicly. It’s unclear how many agents will be charged.

 

“You knew or should have known that using your horse to block a noncitizen from exiting the water at the boat ramp created an unsafe situation, particularly for the noncitizen, but also for you and your horse,” the charges read.

So Mayorkas threw these agents under the bus even knowing nothing happened.  Seems the Biden team decided to make this a political issue and destroy those in the ranks.  I hope the CBP officers remember this in a few weeks.  Regardless, this should drive mass impeachments.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has to go. In a bombshell revelation, the Heritage Foundation obtained emails showing his own staff told him last year that reports of border agents whipping migrants near Del Rio, Texas, were false — before he went to the White House and publicly smeared his own agents as racists anyway.

 

Mayorkas flat-out lied. Just two hours after being informed the very photographer who captured the viral Sept. 19, 2021, pictures of mounted Border Patrol officers confronting Haitian migrants said no whipping occurred, he declared: “Our nation saw horrifying images that do not reflect who we are. We know that those images painfully conjured up the worst elements of our nation’s ongoing battle against systemic racism.”
