Medical Exam - Mental Health Question

Hello everyone,

My moroccan fiance is currently going through the k1 visa process. He had his examination last week. When the doctor asked him if he had ever had depression, he answered he did back in 2011 and sought therapy. We are a little worried that might be a reason for his visa denial. Has anyone gone through something similar and still got accepted? Thank you so much.

Thank you so much. That’s what I thought, that therapy is normal.

No, it shouldn't be an issue.

If they were interested, the panel physician would have asked for the psychiatrist official diagnosis and treatment.

Thank you for your response.

Not a cause of concern. Also, if he had said no, it would be lying, which is fraudulent.

I figured it wasn’t a concern since it was just therapy and everything was cleared. I also never mentioned anything about lying and of course anyone knows it is fraudulent to lie, which is obviously the reason the responses were transparent.
