I really don't see what difference waiting a day or 2 later makes. Just file a few days after the 90 days just to be sure.

This is not a race.

Haste makes waste.

Agree.  Some people mail their packages 2 or 3 days before the window opens....then they worry that the package might arrive early.  Filing a day or two after the window opens is the best policy, imo.

That is bad, I applied again, but I am also thinking of appealing the decision. I know I will spend more money, and I do not know which appointment will be faster.

You can definitely appeal as well, it may take upto 6 months or more to schedule your hearing before an IJ. What tangible proofs can you show to the judge to prove it was filed on 2/10?

I filed what the USCIS online said I'm eligible for, but little did I know I filed so early. And they deduct those days while I was out of the country. I think a total of 8 months I was out of the country because every 2 years, I fly out. I just got lucky because the lady who interviewed considered and adjusted all my days to complete the 5 yrs eligibility.

Wow, that is awful.  My wife has been taking citzenship classes at the adult school.  The teachers have been telling the students to ask to see a supervisor if they disagree with the officers decision.  I think this would have been a case where it would have warranted asking for a supervisor.  They really shouldn't give out a calculator if it's got a glitch. :(

Agreed.

Not everyone knows that they have the right to request a meeting with a supervisor right after the interview.

There is also the option of writing a letter.

Unfortunately the OP already filed a new N400.

GOOD MORNING, last Feb / 10/2021 I applied for citizenship (for-N400), on Sept / 18/2021 was my interview. I passed the exam but my case was denied because they said that I sent my application too early.

I am a resident since May-11-2016.

Permanent Resident Anniversary Date:

Month 05- Day 11 Year 2021

Earliest Accepted Filing Date:
02/10/2021.

Do you think there was an error in the official denying me my application since it can be completed with 90 days before the 5 years? Earliest Accepted Filing Date:
02/10 / 2021. so says the uscis page.

https://www.uscis.gov/forms/uscis-early-filing-calculator

or is the officer's decision correct?

It’s always advisable to file few days after the window opens to avoid stuff like this. I think the best option is to re-file.

Looks the th USCIS office counted 3 months, not 90 days, they thought earliest date 2/11

From the calculator

 Permanent Resident Anniversary Date:
For example: 04 28 2018
Month 5
Day 11
Year 2016

Earliest Accepted Filing Date:
02 / 11 / 2016

You're right.  I remember seeing the issue a few times.  That is the reason I would always recommend filing a few days after the window opens.

I agree with you on this. Although in theory you can apply 90 days before but good idea to do bit later on to avoid any headache .I remember seeing another post where OP got denied because she applied 3 days early (mistook 90 days for 3 months)
