Ummmmmmm.......there is always waiting. Waiting for the petition to be approved. Waiting for for the NVC to process and approve affidavit of support. Waiting for everything to be forwarded to the consulate. Waiting for an interview appointment. Waiting for medical. Waiting for AP to finish for visa approval. Waiting for visa to be issued. Just because numbers are current does not mean it will be quick, especially during COVID times.

hello all,

is this like a golden opportunity for those wanting to bring unmarried children under 21 into the USA as F2A visas are current, meaning you dont have to wait for a few years for a slot to become open? - Well, you can view it as such. But note that it can take a while for USCIS approval, NVC processing, and visa interviews. And during this time F2A could no longer be current or in extreme situations could even retrogress years. But I'll always advice to submit any petitions right away whether priority date is current or not.

how long will these be current for? - Nobody can tell. You just have to keep monitoring the visa bulletin.
